Your privacy, plainly explained.
How connection detection, test traffic and browser storage work.
Updated November 7, 2026
Current behavior
We use Google AdSense to connect this site for advertising review and potential ad delivery. We do not run separate tracking analytics or account registration. Your browser and the hosting service exchange ordinary request information, including an IP address and browser headers, to deliver the site. The hosting service may maintain operational access logs under its own policies.
Provider detection
When you open the speed test, we read your public IP address and available network organization, ASN and edge location from metadata supplied by the hosting network. This feature does not contact another IP lookup vendor. IP-based location and provider information can be approximate. The IP is hidden initially; you can reveal it using the eye control. Connection details remain in page memory and are not included in saved results or CSV exports.
Measurement traffic
Starting a test transfers synthetic data to the selected endpoint: speed.cloudflare.com or this website’s own hosting edge. The selected provider receives your IP address and technical request information. The sustained test uses continuous transfers for twelve seconds per direction after warm-up. Data use is speed-dependent and can reach hundreds of MB or several GB. The test does not read your personal files. We do not separately upload a completed summary for analytics. Third-party endpoint processing is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy.
Local results and preferences
Saving results is optional and disabled by default. If enabled, up to ten completed measurements and their timestamps, selected server, request mode, engine version and available loaded-latency values are stored in localStorage in this browser. IP addresses and provider labels are excluded. Theme, units, meter animation preference, test language and default mode/server preferences are also stored locally. You can clear saved results or turn off remembering, which also removes history. There is no account synchronization. Downloading CSV saves a file to your own device.
Fonts
Inter is served directly by this website under its open font license. Loading the typeface does not contact Google Fonts. The license is distributed with the website source.
Contact tool
Hussain Aslam operates InternetSpeed Pulse. For privacy enquiries, email info@duotools.online. The contact tool opens your email application with a draft addressed to our support inbox. The form does not submit or store messages on this website. If you send the email, your email address and message are processed by the email services involved so we can respond. Do not include passwords, public IP addresses, billing details or unnecessary personal data.
Advertising
This website loads the Google AdSense script. Your browser contacts Google, which receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser headers. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Ad delivery depends on Google approval and our advertising settings. You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. We will provide consent choices where required before serving ads that require consent.
Your choices
You can read the guides without running a speed test, leave history off, clear browser storage and choose not to reveal your IP on screen. Linked services have their own privacy policies.
